Concerned About Your Electric Bill?

Have you noticed an increase in recent electric bills? Cold temperatures mean that your electric usage may be increasing even though you are not doing anything different.

We are hearing from members who are surprised by their most recent bills, so we have some information we would like to share.

First, Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) rates remain stable. GVEA’s utility charge has not changed in 2 years. The fuel and purchase power charge, which is adjusted quarterly, recently decreased 2.43%.

Do you check your usage? You can access detailed information about your electric usage, just visit GVEA’s Member Portal to log in or set up your account.
